Funeral Services for Mr. Foster Anderson will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. in the Winnfield Funeral Home Chapel, 3701 Hollywood Avenue, Shreveport, LA. 71109. Foster was born April 22, 1925, in Shreveport, LA to Dwight and Lillian Rye Anderson, and passed away February 21, 2013. He attended public school in Caddo Parish and graduated from Central High School. He served in the United States Army in WWII and graduated from Wiley College. He moved to Seattle, Washington where he worked at Boeing Aircraft. After retirement, he returned to Shreveport to live. He was a member of the Little Union Baptist Church where he served faithfully as an usher until his illness. Foster was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Lucille Dixon Anderson; son, Foster ('Rusty'); daughter, Florastein Anderson Haynes. His survivors include a son, Dwight David Anderson; daughter, Tabitha Anderson, Seattle, Washington; brother, Felton C. Anderson (Betty), San Bernardino, CA; sisters, Ruby Horton (Donald); Edy J. Rose, San Bernardino, CA; grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Interment will be at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery, 6915 W. 70th Street, Shreveport, LA. 71129.
