We mourn the loss and Celebrate the Life and Legacy of Mr. Felton P. Washington Jr. of Coushatta, La. FELTON P. WASHINGTON, JR. was born November 2, 1977 to Felton P. Washington, Sr. and Leatrice Bradley Washington. Felton was baptized at Springville Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Lee Otis Sibley. He attended schools in Red River Parish, graduating from Coushatta High School, now Red River High. After graduating high school, he later served as a deputy with the Red River Parish Sheriff's office for a short period of time. Thereafter he moved to Lake Charles, Louisiana, where he pursued different occupations. Upon returning to Coushatta, he was employed by TNT Railroad Systems where he trained and later became an engineer. He served at that position until his untimely departure. Felton enjoyed life. He possessed a great sense of humor; he loved his family, and had an unwavering love for the Dallas Cowboys. He was preceded in death by his parents, Felton Washington, Sr., and Leatrice Bradley Washington; grandparents, Ben Washington and Lula Hall Washington, and L. C. Bradley and Vicer Harville Bradley; three aunts, and five uncles. Felton is survived by his three children: Devin Washington of Mansfield, Louisiana and Malik Simon of Lake Charles, Louisiana; two sisters, Travette Smith of San Bernadino, California and Latrice Washington of Shreveport. Louisiana; one brother Lang C. Washington of Houston, Texas; two aunts, Azzie Bradley and Janet W. Jackson of Coushatta, Louisiana; Godparents, Calvin and Charlene Douglas of Coushatta, Louisiana; one God brother, Leonard Allen of Shreveport, Louisiana; two God sisters, Edwina Whitaker of Shreveport, Louisiana and Anicia Allen of Natchitoches, Louisiana; beloved nieces, nephews, cousins; and a host of friends who will miss him dearly.
