Felton Thomas A resident of Baton Rouge and a native of New Roads, he died on Monday, Sept. 15, 2008, at his home. He was 71. Visiting at Winnfield Funeral Home on Saturday, Sept. 20, from 8:30 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Charles T. Smith. Entombment in Greenoaks Memorial Park Mausoleum. He is survived by his wife, Rose Thomas; mother, Sylvia Thomas; three daughters, Rosalind, Josalind and Melba Thomas; son, Felton C. Thomas; five sisters, Betty Isom, Joann Thomas, Josephine Shields, Lorraine Payton and Sheila Thomas; brother, Bernard Thomas; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his father, Edmond Thomas. Pallbearers will be Montrell Dukes, Cornell Dukes, Welton Smothers, Gregory Briscoe, Roman Cage and Jorrick Lacour. Honorary pallbearers are Charles Sherman, Tiji Sherman, Christopher Sherman, David Lewis, Perry Neal and Martin Payton. He was a high school graduate.
