A retired nurse and a resident of Baton Rouge, she died Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Mid City. She was 81 and a native of St. Francisville. Visiting at Winnfield Funeral Home on Friday, Sept. 10, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Michael D. Mallet. Interment in Winnfield Memorial Park. She is survived by her daughters, Paulette Carey Freeman, June Yvette Carey and Ana Carey Jackson; and sons, Errol Carey, Barry Carey and Monte Carey.
