Obituary

We mourn the loss and Celebrate the Life and Legacy of Mrs. Ella A, Casey 67, of Shreveport, La. Mrs. Ella Delores Anderson Casey was born on March 25, 1950 in Gayles, Louisiana to the late Mr. Marshall Anderson, Sr. and the late Lee Ethel Brown Anderson. She was the second child born into the union of her father and mother. Mrs. Ella Anderson married Mr. Charles Edward Casey on April 18, 1970. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Casey were married 47 blissful years. On July 9, 2017, Mrs. Ella Casey was called by the Lord of Lords and without hesitation she answered His call. She is now resting peacefully from the throws and cares of the Earthly world. For the Bible states in 2 Corinthians 5:8, 9 (We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of Him. Mrs. Ella Casey was baptized at an early age at St. Abraham Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Thomas. She later joined Shady Grove Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Paul Baylor. During her tenure at Shady Grove Baptist Church, Mrs. Casey utilized her talent of ushering people into Christ by working on the Usher Board. Through prayer and supplication, Mrs. Ella Casey, joined Genesis African Methodist Episcopal Church in 2015 under the leadership of Dr. Rodney Pendleton. Mrs. Casey worked in the vineyard until she was unable to attend worship services in the church building, however, her church family was always in her heart, thoughts, and prayers. Mrs. Ella Casey was dedicated to her work at Evergreen Life Services. She was employed for over 30 years and retired. Mrs. Ella Casey is preceded in death by her father Mr. Marshall Anderson, Sr., mother Mrs. Lee Ethel Brown Anderson, 1 brother, Mr. George Anderson, 2 Aunts, Nellie Richmond and Leola Holmes and 4 Uncles, Coy Brown, Matt Carter, Rev. Joe Holmes, and Henry Carter. Mrs. Ella Casey will be eloquently cherished by her husband of 47 years Mr. Charles Casey, 4 daughters Sheila Casey, Gwendolyn Casey-Hines (Fred Hines, Jr.), Vanessa Casey Williams (Termall Cedric Williams), and Sherry Casey. Mrs. Ella Casey will be treasured by her 3 siblings, Marshall Anderson Jr. Katie Sanders (B.J. Sanders, Jr.) and Clarissa Carter. Mrs. Ella Casey will be eternally loved and missed by her 7 grandchildren, Jacora Casey, Carlton Carmon, Charles Carmon, Fred Hines, III, Jaylynn Casey, Kaylynn Casey, and Montoyous Casey. Mrs. Ella Casey will be adored by her nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
