Obituary

A homemaker and a resident and native of Baton Rouge, she died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010, at her home. She was 97. Visiting at Elm Park Baptist Church, 5150 Landis Drive, Saturday, Dec. 4, from 8 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Barry L. Guy, Pastor. Interment in Winnfield Memorial Park. She is survived by a stepdaughter, Barbara 'Bobbie' J. Smith and her husband, the Rev. Daniel Smith Sr.; a sister, Ethel Marie R. Vicks; and a host of devoted nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Brown; parents, Joe and Elnora Gardner Randall; stepmother, Ethel J. Randall; stepdaughter, Shirley Brown; stepson, Charles Brown; two brothers, Isaac Ranel Sr. and Joe Randall Jr.; and five sisters, Jessie R. Glasper, Louise R. Augustus, Alma Lee R. Smith Carter, Bessie R. Stone and Lois R. Heath. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
