Obituary

A resident of Baton Rouge, she died Monday morning, Jan. 28, 2008, at Sterling Place. She was 67 and a native of Centreville, Miss. Visiting at Winnfield Funeral Home on Saturday, Feb. 2, from 8:30 a.m. until religious service at 1 p.m., conducted by the Rev. James Grayson. Interment in Winnfield Memorial Park. She is survived by five daughters, Peggy Palmer, Clara Louding, Sharon Louding, Delores L. Watts and Burnadette Palmer; two sons, Phillip Louding Jr. and Burnell Palmer; three sisters, Rosie P. Daniels and husband David, Sarah Ann Betts, and Sadie P. Selmon; six brothers, minister Leroy Palmer and wife Joyce, of Santa Cruz, Calif., Lloyd Palmer Jr. and wife Gloria, of Centreville, S.A. Palmer and wife Ava, Jerry Palmer, Dennis Hatfield and wife Pamela, and Dale Hatfield, all of Baton Rouge; 15 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; a very devoted mate, Marvinelle Powell; and best friend and sister-in-law, Gloria Davis. She was preceded in death by her mother, Earline Palmer; father, Lloyd Palmer Sr.; husband, Phillip Louding Sr.; mother-in-law, Clara 'Lady Moon' Louding; father-in-law, Willie Louding Sr.; two brothers, Roy and Mack Palmer; aunt, Betsy Palmer; and uncle, Willie Hatfield. Pallbearers will be Corey F. Williams, Robert Allen, Alvin Watts, Dennis Hatfield, Dale Hatfield and Jerry Palmer. Honorary pallbearers are Phillip Louding Jr., Burnell Palmer, S.A. Palmer, Leroy Palmer, Jason Washington, Lloyd Palmer Jr., Marvin Powell, Alvin Betts Jr., Darren Betts, Derick Louding and Michael Louding.
