Funeral services for Ms. Doris Jean Blake age 55 of Natchitoches will be Saturday June 12, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Paul B.C., Bermuda, Louisiana. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Psalms 27:1 Sister Doris Jean Blake was born August 12, 1955 to the late James Blake, Sr. and Pearline Young Blake in Natchitoches, LA. She accepted Christ and joined St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. P. M. Gillie. She graduated from Natchitoches-Central High School in 1973. On June 5, 2010, Sister Doris Jean Blake departed this life at the Natchitoches Regional Medical Center. She leaves to cherish her precious memories one daughter, Tracey Elisha Voltaire, four grandchildren, AraJae Jones, Aeriel Jones, Amarion Jones, and Aaron Hayes all of Natchitoches; her mother, Pearline Young Blake of Natchitoches; one sister, Alice Blake of Natchitoches; four brothers, James Blake (Ruby) of Los Angeles, CA, Calvin Blake (Audrie) of Houston, TX, Dennis Blake and Roger Blake of Natchitoches and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
