A public visitation will be held in the Chapel of the Winnfield Funeral Home Wednesday, January 20, 2010 from 6:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. There will be no formal funeral service. Burial will take place in the cemetery of the Old Morning Star Baptist Church of St. Maurice, LA Thursday morning, January 21, 2010 at 11:00 a. m. OBITUARY OF MS. DELORES PEARRIE COLEMAN Mrs. Delores Pearrie Coleman was born October 10, 1946 in Pineville, LA to the Mr. Clarence and Mrs. Addie Anderson Pearrie. She was first of six siblings which blessed this union. Delores was educated in the Grant Parish Public School System where she received the High School Diploma from J. W. Gaines in Montgomery, LA. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior and united with the Old Morning Star Baptist Church of St. Maurice, LA under the spiritual leadership of the late Rev. Ovide Duncantel, Sr. At the time of her passing she was an active member who served as Secretary of the Church and a member of the Choir. Ms. Coleman was employed as U. S. D. A. Inspector at the Pilgrims Pride Poultry Processing Plant in Natchitoches, Louisiana until her retirement in March of 2009. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Clarence and Mrs. Addie Anderson Pearrie and a brother, Ricky Pearrie Left to cherish her memory are here devoted companion Stafford Jefferson; three sisters Mrs. Clarice P. Braxton, Mrs. Barbara Edwards, and Mrs. Shirley Nash, one brother, Mr. Russell Pearrie (Dorothy), four aunts, Mrs. Jessie Sarpy, Mrs. Rosa Ward, Mrs. Henrietta Crew and Ms. Amelia Anderson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
