A lineman for Kleinpeter Dairy, he died at 5:33 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, 2008, in Lincoln Parish in an automobile accident. He was 37 and a native and resident of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Winnfield Funeral Home on Saturday, Jan. 19, from 1 p.m. until religious service at 2 p.m. Interment in Southern Memorial Gardens. Family asks all friends and family to wear white shirts and black pants. Survived by his partner in life, Aretha Vessel; mother, Patricia Ann Lee; two daughters, Khadijah Selders and Da'Nisha Lee; three sons, Deundra Bulter, David Lee Jr. and Daylon Lee; sister, Felicia Matricia Lee; and brother, Sherman J. Holmes. Preceded in death by his father, Sherman Stanley; grandparents, Louis and Cora Lee and Willie and Viola Stanley; aunt, Nancy Lee; uncles, Burnell Walls Jr. and Robert Stanley; great aunt, Mable Hymes; and cousin Peggy Lee. Pallbearers will be Carl Alexander, Reginald Allen, Jonathan Wesley, Ken Station, Jonathan Shelton and Tony Chatman. Honorary pallbearers are Roderick Hymes, Michael Hymes, Tommy Hymes, John Doss, Wilson Lee, Stacy Rayford, Cedrick Kelly, Johnny Kelly and Sherman Holmes. He was educated up to the 12th grade in the East Baton Rouge Parish school system. He was always helping, supporting and encouraging his family, friends, and others. He was a very dedicated father.
