Obituary

An 11th-grade student at East Baton Rouge Acceleration Academy, he died Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. He was 17, a resident and native of Baton Rouge. Visiting at World Shakers Church International on Saturday, Oct. 9, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m. Interment in Roselawn Memorial Park. Survived by his parents, Jennifer Augustus and Reginald Ridgley; godparents, Felton and Rhonda Billoups; sister, Paris Augustus; two nephews, Brandon and Braylen Browder; maternal grandparents, Barbara Augustus and Roger Joseph; maternal great-grandmother, Olevia Augustus; paternal grandmother, Joseph and Barbara Washington; two aunts, Yolanda and husband John Augustus, and Terriah and husband Maurice Richardson; and a host of uncles. He was preceded in death by an aunt, Demitra Lashun 'Berry' Augustus; great-great-aunts, Lillian Augustus and Vera Augustus; a cousin, Joshena Hawkins; and great-uncle, Ellis Augustus. Pallbearers will be Marvin Augustus Jr., Willie Smith Jr., Leroy Goings, James Terrell, Leman Ridgley, Shedrick Ridgley, Johnathan Brue, Melvin Hawkins and Dekyre Jackson. Honorary pallbearers are Gerald Augustus, Marvin Augustus Sr., Taurus Augustus, John Brue, Christopher Ridgley, Lenardrick Ridgley, Darren Scott, D'Orsay Scott, Earl Smith and Greg O'Connor.
