Cleveland Rye was born February 1, 1932 to Mr. and Mrs. Will and Rosie Thomas Rye in Keithville, La. At an early age, Cleveland confessed his faith in Jesus Christ and later became a member of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church. He married the love of his life the late Alice Turner Rye. To this union 7 seven girls and 1 son were born. He was a laborer in construction. On July 10, 2017, Cleveland Rye departed this life and entered into rest. He was preceded in death by his parents: Will and Rosie Rye, wife: Alice Turner Rye and one Daughter: Sharon Ann Rye. Precious memories will be cherished by his daughters and son: Doris (Robert) Buck of Shreveport, La., Glenda Rye of Los Angeles, Ca., Brenda (office)King of Keithville, La., Joyce Wright of Keithville, La, Debra (Kenny Wayne) Louis of Shreveport, La, Felecia Rye- Leblanc of Keithville, La., Phyllis Birmingham of Rochester, Ny., Martha (Darren)Ware of Keithville, La., Jamel Peterson. One sister: Ada B. Williams of Shreveport, La., 16 Grandchildren, 27 Great Grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
