A bus driver for the East Baton Rouge Parish School Board and a resident of Baton Rouge, she died Monday, July 12, 2010, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Bluebonnet. She was 65 and a native of Natchez, Miss. Visiting at Winnfield Funeral Home on Friday, July 16, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Religious service at the funeral home Saturday, July 17, at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Robert Smith. Interment in Southern Memorial Gardens. She is survived by her husband, Emmett Floyd; daughters, Tenia and husband Isiah Brooks and Bobbie L. Stephens, all of Baton Rouge; sons, Brian Williams and Percy Williams, both of Baton Rouge; sisters, Augustine Wallace, of Chicago, Brenda and Celestine Bowie, both of Baton Rouge; brothers, Ledell Bowie, of Baton Rouge, Johnnie Randall, of Nashville, Tenn., Clarence and wife Delores Wallace, Charles and wife Toney Wallace, Earl and wife Ann Wallace, and Biddie and wife Jackie Wallace, Pastor Willie and wife Verna Wallace Jr., all of Houston; biological mother, Mandy Wallace; five stepchildren, Deborah Williams, Brenda Williams, Vivian Knight, Shenette Floyd and Emmett Floyd Jr., all of Baton Rouge; 10 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, along with a devoted aunt, Rosie 'Queen' Glasper. She was preceded in death by devoted parents who raised her, Kato and Lenola Smith; biological father, Jimmy Randall; two sons, Elton and Micahel; her three sisters, Delories, Annie Ruth and Gertard; and a brother, James. Pallbearers will be Cleveland Wilkins Jr., Johnny Sago, Marcus Salisberry, Sam Shaver, Corey Hornsby and Qurandon Lyons. Honorary pallbearers are Charles Harris Jr., Isiah Brooks III, Wayne Campbell Jr., Vandell Washington, Corey Harris, Marion Pollard, Danny Brooks and Greg Knight.
