Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at 11:00 a. m. at the Bethlehem Baptist Church of Mansfield, LA with burial following in the Church's Cemetery. Public visitation will be convened at the Winnfield Funeral Home of Natchitoches, LA on the preceding Tuesday from 3:00 p. m. to 8:00 p. m. Sister Christie Denise Sudds Smith was born to the late Thomas Phillip Sudds and Shirley Stevenson Sudds on March 7, 1982. She confessed Christ under the leadership of Rev. Charlie Henry at Bright Morning Star Baptist Church. Christie was united in Holy Matrimony to Richard Cedric Smith for three years. God blessed them to bring into this world one beautiful daughter, Alyssa. On September 22, 2010, our Heavenly Father said, Christie, its time to come home. She was preceded in death by her father, the late Thomas Phillip Sudds, her paternal grandfather, O. B. Sudds, Sr., and her paternal grandmother, Easter Blow Sudds. She leaves to cherish her loving memories her loving and devoted husband, Richard Cedric Smith, her loving mother, Shirley Stevenson Sudds, her beautiful little daughter, Alyssa Cynira Smith; her maternal grandparents, Billy Stevenson and Mary Stevenson; four sisters, Torhonda Sudds Horton (Larry), Tekisha Sudds Lewis (Charles), Kandi Sudds and Turkeshia Washington; one brother, Demarcus Washington. Also cherishing her memories are her in laws, Ella Marie Smith, Willie D. Smith, Willie Metoyer, Ella Mae Metoyer, Leah Metoyer and Robert Metoyer who was very much dedicated, loving and caring to her, Cedric and Alyssa; three nephews, Jermontrice Sudds, JerQuint Sudds and Delvion Lewis; three nieces, Cleshea Sudds, Keyreona Lewis and Alayla Lewis; two great nephews, Jaylen Sudds and Jermontrice Sudds, Jr.; six aunts, six uncles and a host of other relatives and friends who loved her dearly.
