We mourn the loss and Celebrate the Life and Legacy of Mrs. Carolyn Faye Taylor Mitchell 64 of Shreveport, La./Irving, Tx.
"Carolyn Faye" Taylor Mitchell was born to Stanley Taylor, Sr. and Lurelia Washington Taylor on July 26, 1953 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Carolyn accepted Christ at a young age by Reverend E.P. Wimberly. She attended Union High School and Woodlawn High School where she graduated.
Carolyn was a member of Lake Zion Baptist Church in Belcher, Louisiana under the leadership of Reverend E.P. Wimberly. Then she united with
Union Spring Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend E.P. Wimberly and Reverend Morris Austin. Later in life she united with Philadelphia
Baptist Church and Victory Missionary Original Baptist church in Dallas, Texas until her death.
Carolyn was employed for 14 plus years at Schumpert Medical Center. She was also employed by Xerox, Kindred Rehabilitation Hospital and University Health.
Carolyn was loved by her family and friends and will be dearly missed. She was fondly known as "Aunt Carolyn", "Carolyn Faye" and "Granny". She gave comfort
and love to our Family. Those who knew her where graced with her wit, charm, caring spirit, and sense of humor.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, aunts, uncle, cousins and son-in-law.
Carolyn leaves to cherish her memories to her (3) children, Felicia Mitchell, Perneil Taylor (daughter-in-law Sholonda Taylor) and Sherterika Taylor White; (7) grandchildren,
Ayala Mitchell, Christian Mitchell, Xavier Bascom, LaDarrius West, Diamond West, TaKiera Taylor, Camren Taylor; (2) great grandchildren, Ahlijah Wilson, Leah West; (5) siblings,
Rosie Johnson, Stanley Taylor, Ruby Taylor, James Fuller and Bessie Taylor; (1) Aunt, Elester Hearn of Los Angeles, California; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and
