We mourn the loss but Celebrate the Life and Legacy of Mr. Bud Theus, Jr., 68, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Bud II, son of Bud and Lottie B. (Anthony) Theus was born November 26, 1952, in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was baptized at Mt. Paran B. C. at an early age by the late, Pastor C. L. Pennywell. While attending Linear Junior/Senior High School, Bud enrolled in R.O.T.C. The dream of becoming a soldier was born. After graduating from Linear High School in 1971, Bud Jr enlisted and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. On September 1, 1972 and September 22, 2016 he married Calline Mims, to this union four (4) sons were born, one (1) of which preceded him in death, Corey Dewayne Theus. Bud worked in many areas including oil fields, oil and gas drilling, construction, assembly line and meat processing. After accepting a job offer at IBP in Sioux City, Iowa, he encouraged others to move there with him. Later he joined the Mt. Olive Missionary B. C. in Sioux City, Iowa under Pastor H. C. McGruder. He later moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota where he opened a clothing store and later purchased a food truck. He always said that cooking relaxes him.
Preceded in death were his parents, three brothers David Pew, Ronnie Theus, and Richard Theus, his favorite nephew Elmer (Nokey) Henderson, III and son Marquel Ealy.
Memories of him will be cherished by his wife, Calline, Shreveport, LA; sons, Clifton B. Theus of Fort Worth, TX, Cedric B. Theus of Fort Madison, IA, Bud Theus III "Trey" of Colorado Springs, CO, Nehemiah D. Young of Sioux City, IA, Tyrese J. Theus of Sioux Falls, SD, Romeo R. Theus of Huron SD; daughters Jacquenese McCombs of Grand Prairie, TX, and Hayden S. Theus of Shreveport, LA; Brother Carl Wayne Theus of Shreveport, LA; sisters Brenda Faye Scott, Shreveport LA, Diane (Leonard) Johnson of Shreveport LA, Clarinda Henderson, of Shreveport, LA, Jacqueline (Dewayne) Snell of Salt Lake City Utah, and Janice Johnson of Shreveport, LA. Three grand-children, Cedric, Breonna, Shantreyale; great-grandson Gabriel, his heart great-granddaughter (Ittie Bittie) Rhyan. A host of many cousins, nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
