Funeral services for Mr. Booker T. Chatman, age 89, of Winnfield, La., will be held Thursday, October 29, 2009, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Winnfield Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Hamms officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove C.M.E. Church cemetery near Dodson, La. Visitation is Wednesday from 6-8 P.M. Mr. Chatman, a retired auto factory employee, and a WWII veteran, passed Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at the Winn Parish Medical Center in Winnfield, La. Mr. Chatman is survived by: his wife, Dorothy Chatman of Winnfield, La; two(2) daughters, Ella Mae Chatman of Sacramento, Ca; and Luvinia Champion of Oakland, Ca; four(4) stepsons, Otis Magee of Los Angeles, Ca; Kenneth Brown, Sr., and Eric Brown, both of Winnfield, La; and Victor Bradford of Baltimore, Md; one(1) sister, Georgia Jackson, of Winnfield, La. Mr. Chatman is also survived by: four (4) grandchildren, eleven(11) great grandchildren, one(1) great great grandchild, five(5) step grandchildren, fifteen(15) step great grandchildren, nine(9) step great great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
