Funeral Services for Mr. Billy Mitchell will be held at the Winnfield Funeral Home Chapel in Natchitoches, LA Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 2:00 p. m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, February 19, 2010 from 6:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. Burial will take place in the Breda Town Cemetery. Mr. Billy Jeal Mitchell was born to the parentage of the late Mr. John Bryant and Ms. Lula Lee Mitchell January 27, 1955 in Natchitoches Parish. He exchanged time for eternity in the Natchitoches Parish Hospital on February 15, 2010. His education was obtained in the Natchitoches Parish Public School System where he was awarded a High School Diploma. Having a thirst for knowledge, he continued his formal training at the Natchitoches Vocational-Technical College, Mansfield Business School of Dallas, Texas, Northwestern State University and various military training academies. He was a soldier by profession having served his country in the U. S. Army for more than a decade. Having been reared in a home where religious practices were important, Billy was baptized and united with the Bethel Baptist Church in Cane River, the congregation where his family was active. Billy was previously married to the former Corena Rachal, a union which was blessed with two sons, Billy Mitchell, Jr. and Michael Wayne Mitchell. He was preceded in death by his father and his maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Earnest Mitchell. He is survived by his mother, Ms. Lula Lee Mitchell of Natchitoches, two sons, Billy Mitchell, Jr and Michael Wayne Mitchell of Natchitoches, Louisiana; two daughters, Sonya Mitchell of Virginia and Quintesha Mitchell of Plano,TX; 10 grandchildren; three sisters, Joyce Benjamin, Rachel Bell (Terry), and Ronda Helaire; one brother, Anthony Carter (Sonia) of Dallas, TX; two aunts, Ms. Lemoria Dillon of Natchitoches, LA, Mrs. Ora Lee Davis of Houston, TX and Mr. Herbert Mitchell (Carolyn) of Houston, TX and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
