We mourn the loss and Celebrate the Life and Legacy of Mrs. Bertha M. Lattier 85, of Shreveport, La.
Sister Bertha Mae Ruffin Lattier was born June 9, 1932 in Shreveport, Louisiana to the late Katie and Isaac Ruffin. To this union three children were born.
Sister Lattier accepted Christ at an early age at St. Mary Baptist Church and she later joined the Second Mt. Zion Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend B. H. Howard. She then joined her husband, Abron Lattier, Sr., at Cross of Christ. After her husband's death, she returned to Second Mt. Zion Baptist Church until her death.
MaeMae was united in holy matrimony to Abron Lattier, Sr. on July 17, 1947. To this union three children were born.
MaeMae's favorite thing to do in life was mission work. She visited the sick, in the nursing homes, as well as visits to their homes. If you knew her, you knew her cooking was a healing for your soul. Her sweet potato pie, pecan pie, tea cakes and other sweets will certainly be missed. Her tight hugs will be missed the most. Nobody does it better!
On October 28, 2017, MaeMae, transitioned to continue her journey with the Lord at Cornerstone Hospital in Bossier City, Louisiana. She was preceded in death her parents; husband; one child, and one grandson, Ken Anderson, Sr.
