Mrs. Washington was born in Natchitoches Parish near the community locally referred to as 'Hickory Hill' near Rockford B.C. property. She was the youngest of nine siblings born to the parentage of the late Mr. Primes Johnson and Mrs. Mary Nicholas Johnson. Education was accomplished in the public schools of Natchitoches Parish where she formed many life-long associates. Realizing a need for preparation for life after death, Mrs. Washington united with the Rockford B.C. in her youth and served there faithfully for many years. Later, she united with the congregation at First B.C. on North Street where she remained until her passing.
