Audrey Mae Casper Riddle, 85, entered into eternal rest at 1:20 a.m. Sunday, June 6, 2010. Shortly after experiencing a massive stroke, she died at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was the loving wife of the late Robert Riddle Sr. She is survived by eight children, Jacquelyn and spouse Clifton Meade, Emelda Jackson, Robert Jr. and spouse Deborah Riddle Jr., Leonard and spouse Mary Riddle, Dorethea and spouse James Allmon, Claudell Riddle, Linda and spouse Ferdinand Offray, of Pasadena, Calif., and Yolanda and spouse Alex Thompson; brother, Howard Hubbard; dearest lifelong sister-friend, Catherine Henry; 22 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert Riddle Sr.; mother, Alice Monette Jarreau; father, August Casper Jr.; brother, Cleolus Hubbard; and sister, Zelda Hubbard Nash. Mrs. Riddle was a lifelong resident of New Orleans, until relocating to Baton Rouge following Hurricane Katrina. She was a faithful member of Mount Moriah Baptist Church for more than 60 years, having served on Usher Board No. 1, and attended New Philadelphia Full Gospel Baptist Church under watch care. Relatives, friends of the family, pastor, officers and members of Mount Moriah Baptist Church and New Philadelphia Full Gospel Baptist Church are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration of her life. The wake services will be held Friday, June 11, at 7 p.m. at New Philadelphia Full Gospel Baptist Church, 7317 Hanks Drive, with C.L. Sheppard, pastor, officiating. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. and the funeral service will be held Saturday, June 12, at 10 a.m. at Greater Liberty Baptist Church, 2407 Louisa St., New Orleans, with services conducted by Mount Moriah Baptist Church, Albert Stewart Jr., pastor, officiating, with visitation beginning at 9 a.m. Interment in Providence Memorial Park, 8200 Airline Drive, Metairie.
