A retired elementary school Rouge, she died at 1:34 a.m. Thursday, January 10, 2008 at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. She was 80 and a native of Woodville, MS. Audrey Johnson achieved a Masters Degree in Black History and was a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority and the Baton Rouge Community Chorus. She also made an appearance in the movie 'Band of Angels'. Visiting at Winnfield Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 15, from 6:30 pm until 8:30 p.m. Visiting will resume January 16, at 9:30 a.m. until religious service at 11:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Scotlandville. Services will be conducted by Rev. Sandra Martin. Interment at Southern Memorial Gardens. She is survived by one daughter, Gaynell A. Johnson; three sons, Lionel James Johnson, Roy James Johnson, and Randolph James Johnson; eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fannie W. Robertson and Roy Robertson; Lionel James Johnson, Sr. (first husband); and Matthew E. Johnson (second husband). Pallbearers are Melvin Straughter, Nathaniel Dyer, Burleigh Williams, Carnell Knighten, Floyd Pelichet, and Don Pelichet. Honary pallbearers are Major Lionel Johnson, Jr., Roy James Johnson, Randolph James Johnson, Lionel James Johnson, III, Christopher Jones, Maurice Manuel, Don Pelichet, II, Peter Barnes, and Byron Johnson.
